Pā Maria can cater for a range of retreat experiences, including days of reflection with the use of Scripture, music and song, focused on a particular theme, as well as longer silent retreats. These will be advertised under the ‘What’s on’ category of this website.
A Taizé-style reflection through music will also be offered at various times throughout the year.
Individual-directed retreats
Our individually directed retreats are silent retreats of varying durations, offering retreatants as little as 1 day up to 6 days.
While on your directed retreat, you will meet daily with your retreat director to explore the movements of God—or the deepest currents of your life, as you understand them.
Typically, a retreatant will be given Scriptural passages as a focus for their prayer and share with their spiritual director the next day what was significant for them during their prayer. Having a journal, noting down any significant insights or feelings, is helpful to bring to those sessions.
